We’re currently supporting a local business that need additional support within their Key Accounts team. The existing team is welcoming and supportive, with robust processes and systems in place. The organisation both manufacture and distribute across the UK from two main sites, head quarters being based in Washington.
This could be an ideal position for someone looking to secure their first ‘Monday to Friday’ job, working within an office environment. Below you’ll find some of the ‘must haves’ for the role, but the most important factor is a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a track record that demonstrates exceptional customer service and loyalty.
This Account Manager role is a key position within the organisation. In many instances being the first point of contact for new customers, as well the ‘go to’ for existing accounts. To summarise the role its basically to handle incoming enquires in an organised manner, juggling multiple tasks, communicating professionally, and updating the computer system accordingly.
Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Building relationships with Customers, constantly focused on delivering exceptional levels of service
- Handling inbound Sales Enquiries both over the phone and via email
- Sales quote creation and all related administration
- Getting to understand the businesses product list and where applicable upselling additional items to the customer
- Working closely with other departments across the business – all the ensure the customer is looked after
Account Manager - Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience working in a customer focused position. This doesn’t have to be within an office environment, possibly from a retail or hospitality setting
- Close Team Working and willingness to help
- Communication skills – including the use of a phone to talk with customers
- Excellent IT skills including proficiency in MS office packages
- Time Management and the ability to be a master juggler of tasks
