Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

This energy consultancy is looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer who has possibly worked in building services or energy while being based in the Newcastle area and keen to focus on energy networks and sustainable energy.

The team is growing across the UK and you'll be working alongside the lead technical engineers who are based in their Newcastle office.

This will see you enjoy a blend of office and field-based work carrying out surveys, discussing options and designing solutions to satisfy current and future needs for individual large buildings and areas such as estates and multi-building developments.

Key Responsibilities

- Support Senior and Lead Engineers on cutting-edge project delivery
- Drive energy efficiency upgrades with your engineering expertise
- Take the lead on single-discipline projects, with support for professional growth
- Design state-of-the-art electrical systems from concept to completion
- Produce innovative designs for renewable technologies including GSHP, ASHP, and Solar PV

You'll receive

- Support towards achieving Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status if you are not there already

About you

- BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Minimum 4 years experience in the electrical engineering/energy industry
- Passion for renewable and low-carbon technologies
- Experience with AutoCAD and Trimble (Amtech) software
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
