You will analyse project plans, bills of quantities and specifications to estimate costs accurately.You will build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, sourcing and negotiating quotes to secure the best value.Additionally, you will:- Obtain supplier quotes and support tender preparation and bid writing- Visit project sites to gather necessary information- Maintain detailed records and prepare reportsAbout YouTo be considered as an Estimator, you will need:- Experience in estimating, surveying or tendering- The ability to read and understand architectural drawings/plans and develop cost estimates- Strong numeracy skills- Commercial awareness- A degree level qualification (or be working towards this) in a relevant subject area or experience working within a similar roleOther organisations may call this role Construction Estimator, Construction Contract Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Project Estimator, or Construction Quantity Surveyor.Webrecruit, Cenergist and Mathewson Limited are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
