Our client is a provider of materials handling solutions throughout the North East. They are currently looking for a Forklift Engineer to join their brilliant team.

About the Role

As a key member of the team, you will be working as a Forklift Engineer to provide repair and maintenance of Electric, LPG and Diesel forklifts and other material handling equipment. The Responsibilities include:

  • Managing workload and prioritising jobs according to customer demands and company targets.
  • Carrying out effective preventative maintenance to minimise unplanned breakdowns.
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems efficiently and effectively.
  • Completion and provision of company documentation and records as required by the company management system.
  • Communicating with customers to agree remedial actions where necessary
  • Using Laptop and PDA to identify parts required and communicate requirements to the office team.

About You

You will require to have the following skills:

  • Are a time served tradesperson in the engineering sector with minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications
  • Are skilled in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships to provide excellent customer care.
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Have a full UK driving License
