Toolmaker

Zenith People are working with our client who are Manufacturer based in the North East and are recruiting for a time-served Toolmaker on a permanent basis.

This role is working alternating double day shift, also referred to as "earlies & lates Monday to Thursday with an earlier finish on both shifts every Friday and there is no weekend work involved.

The Main Purpose of the role:

• To proactively maintain and develop all production press/injection moulding tooling equipment within the plant.

Main duties

• Finding and rectifying faults on Tooling equipment
• Maintenance of Progression Tooling
• Assisting with the development and improvement of Progression Tools
• Working across a busy Manufacturing plant with Press & Injection moulding machines
• Working closely with Engineers and Technicians
• Weekend overtime working is occasionally required

You will also be required to carry out any other duties associated with the position as and when required and we require you to be totally flexible and open minded in your approach as you may be required to assist in other departments if and when required.

Knowledge and Experience:

- Experience in high volume manufacturing

- Must be time served and qualified to a minimum level of ONC/Time-served Apprenticeship

- All round machining skills particularly in Surface Grinding and Cylindrical Grinding

- Capable of working to tight tolerances & Cylindrical Grinding experience is preferred

- At least two years recent post apprenticeship experience

- Good problem solving skills

- PC literate
