Zenith People are currently working with a global manufacturing business based in the North-East. They are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join their team.

The Purpose of this position is to control Schedules and Services which drive production requirements through the Plant. Working within the Supply Chain team, liaising with other departments and suppliers to control the flow of materials, coordinating availability of products to customers, whilst maintaining high levels of customer service. 

DAY SHIFT

The role responsibilities:

  • Organizing, scheduling and expediting supplier deliveries
  • Purchasing of goods and services
  • Prepare and maintain Plant schedules
  • Prioritise workload (schedules) as specified by order requirements to other departments
  • Monitor and manage stock & inventory policies
  • Monitor supply chain demands to and from external Energizer warehouses
  • Work closely with Forecaster with APO SAP system
  • Creation of BOMs for new skus.
  • Creation and maintenance of product hierarchy within SAP
  • Work within team to ensure the successful implementation of new products

The person we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in production planning
  • Problem Solving skills.
  • Understanding of production processes
  • Good level of computer experience including Microsoft Excel, and SAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
