About the Role:

As an ECT Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring that students continue to make progress during staff absences. This role will give you the flexibility to work in different classrooms, helping you build your skills and confidence as you embark on your teaching journey.

Responsibilities of an Early Career Teacher Supply Teacher:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Support the learning and development of students in line with school policies.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback on lessons and pupil progress.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure a smooth teaching experience.

Requirements for an ECT Supply Teacher:

  • Must have a teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and classrooms.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
