A growing manufacturing company based in South Tyneside are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will be based onsite at the engineering facility in South Tyneside, working closely with the Service Manager & field engineers to provide technical support to customers and distributors.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • A technical approach, ideally with some engineering experience to complement this.
  • A degree in an engineering discipline, or hands-on engineering experience would be a big plus
  • Ability to follow engineering schematics
  • Excellent customer service skills – you’ll be liaising daily with customers and suppliers as a company representative

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing technical service support to customers across UK and Europe - this will mainly be over the phone or email, but occasionally will involve in-person support.
  • This support could be focussed on repairs, routine service, user training or general queries
  • Using a range of systems and documentation processes to ensure full service & repair traceability
  • Working with the Service Manager to resolve and escalated customer issues
  • Liaising with field engineers to arrange effective schedules and confirm travel arrangements
