- Kinetic Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Team Leader for a permanent position with a salary of £35,000 to £45,000 per year.
- The role requires a time-served CNC Machinist with a strong background in leading teams and implementing continuous improvement activities.
- The successful candidate will supervise a team of 15-20 skilled machinists across multiple shifts, manage performance, and conduct employee appraisals.
- Candidates should have extensive CNC machining experience and excellent communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
- This position is a dayshift role from Monday to Friday, and prior experience with PUMA and/or Mazak is preferred.
Job Role:
Supervise a team of 15-20 skilled workers across multiple shift patterns.
Supervise manpower, manage and motivate team of operators.
Carry out employee appraisals, reviews, disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases.
Monitor performance of team, coach and support where performance is not at required standard.
Identify training needs and organise the delivery of on the job skills and safety training.
Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement activities utilising lean tools and techniques to drive delivery performance.
Show a proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.
Skills and Experience:
Time served Engineering apprenticeship.
Previous success in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement activities.
Extensive experience in CNC machining.
Proven ability to lead a team ensuring deliverables ae achieved to the required quality, cost, and delivery.
A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent team work and communication skills.
Strong health and safety awareness is required.
Experience of PUMA and/or Mazak would be an advantage.
This is a dayshift position working Monday - Friday.
