Connect Appointments is looking for a Accounts Assistant to join our Washington based client. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with flexible options for full-time or part-time work.

Pay starts at 12.50 to 14.50 per hour.

What you'll do as an Accounts Assistant:

  • Generate customer invoices for planned maintenance, emergency callouts, and remedial work
  • Manage billing for national service contracts and update customer portals (e.g., Verisae)
  • Send invoices and supporting documents to customers
  • Handle customer queries and billing issues, escalating when needed
  • Review work-in-progress (WIP) reports, correcting any billing or cost errors
  • Work closely with customers, service engineers, and the wider team
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant IT systems
  • Perform general office admin tasks as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

What you'll need as an Accounts Assistant:

  • Experience in billing and invoicing
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of debt collection rules and processes
  • Proficient in billing and accounting software, plus MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and task prioritisation
  • Professional and ethical approach
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
