Customer Field Advisor
Full Time / Temporary / Minimum 3 months
£12.96 per hour - 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
Based around Durham and Washington area - Based at Washington site.
About the role
My client has an opportunity for you to work with their team within Wastewater Networks Investigation. Aw part of their Misconnection team your role will focus on the investigation andresolution of issues where customers properties are wrongly connected to our seweragenetwork. As part of this team, you will help to protect water quality in our rivers, streams, andbathing waters. Protecting and enhancing the environment is at the core of NorthumbrianWater's business and the misconnections investigation process plays a key part in this.
Although the role is called a Sewerage Maintenance Operative the role is more aboutproviding advice to their customers face to face, whilst maintaining the integrity of the sewernetwork. As a member of our team, you will undertake a field-based role, travelling to sitesacross the Northeast to maintain our sewerage network.
As the role is field based, you will need to be self-sufficient, and have a high level ofattention to detail, as you will be recording details on manual forms and electronic devices.They're are not specifically looking for you to have experience of working in Water, Waste-water,or maintenance, but more they are looking for you to come from a customer servicebackground, so that retail, hospitality, customer service industries. They need people whohave a flexible approach, are happy to work outside in all weathers, have an ability or willingto learn the systematic tracing of our underground sewer network and are not afraid to getdirty.Knowledge and practical experience of drainage networks along with use of CCTVequipment would be great.A full and valid driving licence will be required as they will provide you with a company van toget around in your role.
