- Close to Washington, Tyne and Wear
- Full-time, Monday – Friday: 08:30 - 17:00 (37.5 hrs per week).
- Hire Process Management: Take ownership of the full hire and off-hire process, advising clients and processing orders from start to completion.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide high-level customer service, fostering repeat business and strong client relationships.
- Order and Quotation Handling: Prepare and issue quotations, convert enquiries into confirmed orders, and ensure completion of all hire desk tasks.
- Equipment Coordination: Work closely with the operations team to arrange timely deliveries, collections, and handle breakdowns professionally.
- Contract Administration: Maintain accurate records of customer contracts and associated documentation on the company’s system.
- Inventory Management: Ensure equipment availability status is current and updated regularly in the system.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor hire income, notify customers of additional charges, and manage authorisation of customer credits.
- Health, Safety, and Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and company policies to ensure a compliant and safe work environment.
- Previous experience in a hire desk or similar role.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team.
- Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Starting salary of £29,000 to £31,000 per annum.
