Provide support to the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure successful delivery of programmes and projects across the police force.


Main Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist project managers with plans and documentation (e.g., RAID logs)
Audits: Coordinate project audits to ensure documentation complies with PMO standards.
Reporting: Collect and consolidate monthly project status reports for Governance Boards.
Template Development: Create and refine templates for effective project management.
Process Improvement: Continuously improve PMO processes for efficiency.
Resource Data Collection: Gather and consolidate resource requirements from project resource plans.
Portfolio Resource Plan: Maintain an overarching portfolio-level resource plan.
Resource Constraints: Address resource conflicts and advise on allocation priorities.
Risk Management:Maintain a portfolio risk and issues log based on project-level data.
Financial Processes: Raise purchase orders and invoices, ensuring compliance with purchasing policies.
Guidance and Advice: Provide advice on PMO methodologies and techniques to relevant staff.
Other Duties: Perform other responsibilities as required within the role's scope.

Person Specification:

Knowledge:
- Degree level education or equivalent.
- PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent qualification.
- Understanding of key project management concepts (e.g., risk registers, project plans).

Experience:
- Previous experience supporting projects within a PMO.
- Demonstrated success in working with multi-disciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in coordinating stakeholders and delivering projects.
- Familiarity with multi-disciplinary team environments.

Desirable:
- Knowledge of project management tools, techniques, and the project lifecycle.

Key Skills:
- Strong documentation and information extraction skills.
- Influencing and communication skills across different levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
