About the role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing triage and frontline support for various types of pharmaceutical equipment. This role involves ensuring equipment functionality, administrative tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with third-party vendors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- You will be the first Point Of Contact in case of equipment issues, you will have to identify problems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of lab equipment. Perform basic repairs on a wide range of pharmaceutical equipment.
- Assist the Senior Field Engineer as a key support during troubleshooting and repair of equipment and act as his/her right hand.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new lab instruments.
- Escalate more complex issues by contacting third-party vendors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for additional support.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of equipment issues, troubleshooting steps, and repairs performed.
- Support lab staff in operating equipment and provide training as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, repairs, and calibration schedules.
About you:
To be considered for the role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with a wide range of pharmaceutical or production equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with third-party vendors and OEMs.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferrable skills:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other industry regulations.
