Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for full-time Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our maintenance team based in our Waterford depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on all types of trucks, buses, and coaches
  • Carry out diagnostics on all vehicles as well as any unscheduled maintenance issues both on and off site
  • Maintain and present vehicles for MOT/CVRT
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all H&Sprocedures
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for inspections and defect rectification
  • Liaise with the parts department for required parts
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and drivers, providing support to colleagues
  • Participate in ongoing training
  • Ability to work on weekends (on-call roster rotation)

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Heavy Vehicle (HV) Mechanic
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience repairing heavy vehicles
  • Proven diagnostic capabilities with good computer skills
  • Organised, self-motivated, and a team player with a strong sense of commitment
  • A full driving licence is essential
  • Holding a Commercial Licence would be an advantagehowever, driver training can be provided to the successful applicant
