We’re recruiting a Part-Time Accountant for a growing, close-knit accountancy firm that values trust, work-life balance, and results. This fully remote role offers you the freedom to shape your work schedule, with the company open to discussing preferred hours and days—perfect for balancing personal commitments. Ideally, you’ll work a minimum of 20 hours per week.You'll take full ownership of diverse client accounts, from bookkeeping and VAT returns to preparing year-end accounts, while collaborating with a small but experienced team.   • Maintaining and reviewing client books and records
  • General bookkeeping
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns
  • Monthly management accounts preparation and reporting of financial results
  • Supporting clients with forecast and budget activities
  • Preparation of small company year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Managing multiple small payrolls
  • Reporting on supplier payment runs
  • Preparing and filing individual self-assessment tax returns
What you will need:
  • Accountancy practice / firm experience
  • To be qualified in ACA or ACCA
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accountant / Practice Accountant / Accounts Senior / Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager / Client Accounts Manager / Client Manager
  • To enjoy taking full ownership from start to finish, doing floor-to-ceiling accounts
  • To be self-motivated and driven to do a great job
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables), Xero and Quickbooks
