As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage a diverse client portfolio while mentoring junior team members, with the flexibility to work remotely up to three days a week and adaptable working hours to suit your lifestyle.This ambitious firm prioritises employee wellbeing, offering tailored training, a generous holiday allowance, and a collaborative, modern work environment — no timesheets required!Reporting to the Client Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Deliver consultancy and advisory services to a spread of existing and new clients
  • Conduct pre-year-end meeting with clients to discuss strategies, performance and tax planning
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients that includes anything from £4m t/o businesses to partners/sole traders
  • Mentor and manage junior team members
  • Collaborate with Directors on strategies to expand service offering and enhance client satisfaction
  • Accounts preparation
  • Supervising the management accounts
  • Overseeing bookkeeping duties
  • Tax activities
What you will need:
  • Experience in a similar role such as: Accounts Semi-Senior / Accounts Senior / Accountant / Client Advisor / Accounts Manager / Accountant / Senior Accountant
  • A background in accountancy practice is essential
  • Experience using Xero and be comfortable overseeing a busy portfolio that is continuously changing due to growth
  • The ideal Accounts Senior & Client Advisor does not need to be qualified, however, if you have completed your AAT / ACA or ACCA this would be a bonus!
