Are you looking to join a rapidly growing, dynamic, Accountancy Practice? Reed Practice are proud to be recruiting for an established accountancy practice that has been in operation for 10+ years. They are seeking to add a Senior Client Manager to their team in Waterlooville.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To coach, train, develop and lead their team (4-5 direct reports)
  • To perform relevant employees 1-2-1 meetings for a section of the accounting team.
  • To support the Accountancy Manager with planning and monitoring the performance of the accountancy team’s key performance measures e.g., weekly stats, timesheets etc.
  • To support the Accountancy Manager in developing internal systems and controls to ensure standards are met to support our company values as required.
  • To support the recruitment and interview process with the Recruitment Lead as required.
  • To manage the process of (and where required, directly carry out) preparing, sending and submitting accounts & tax returns for a portfolio of clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
  • To ensure all internal and statutory deadlines are met e.g. - HMRC, SLA etc.
  • To onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio – this will include bookkeeping, compliance etc to then be handed over to the relevant department.
  • To act as liaison between clients and HM Revenue & Customs to deal with and resolve queries.
  • To provide external training e.g., client bookkeeping training and as applicable as per our company values.

To be considered for this role, candidates must be the following:

  • Must be ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Extensive (5+ years) experience of working in a fast-paced accountancy practice with responsibility for a varied caseload of clients, training other colleagues
  • Must be able to prepare accounts & tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
  • Experience of holding clients meeting, giving advice and utilising Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT and Free Agent to produce client work.
  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of Tax.
