Job Role:

Reporting to the Sales Director and senior team members, the individual will be a key team member and will play a significant part in the sales process, through estimating costs and components in preparation for quotation and proposal to our customers in accordance with specifications and requirements. The individual will also be responsible for data inputting tasks into the companies ERP system and CRM aiding accuracy of data.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Input data for sales figures, quotations, bill of materials and orders
  • Generate accurate and timely estimates and quotations from technical drawings and customer requirements.
  • Communicate with customers regarding product specifications, order details, delivery timelines, and any special arrangements.
  • Review and respond to Customer RFQs and technical queries.
  • Address technical and non-technical questions via phone and email, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Estimate production, material, and inspection times for in-house processes while incorporating external subcontractor elements when needed.
  • Conduct contract review activities for new sales orders
  • Provide sales administration support to external sales team members
  • Follow up and progress quotations and manage pipeline
  • Preparing and submitting quotations and details recording cost detail
  • Obtaining quotations from suppliers within proposal timeframes
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders

Qualifications, experience, and skills:

Essential

  • Proven experience as an estimator/administrator or similar position
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures
  • Familiarity with cost estimates and proposals
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative.
  • Able to build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Decision-making / problem solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within an Aerospace / Defence environment
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100D or a similar QMS system
