We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards from concept to production. You will play a key role in identifying and mitigating potential quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Drawing Quality Checks & Sign-off: Review and approve engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, tolerance analysis, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Process & Production Design: Participate in the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes, including production line layouts, assembly methods, and tooling.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor robust quality control systems, including inspection procedures, sampling plans, release criteria, and statistical process control (SPC) techniques with cpk/ppk.
  • Product Quality Audits: Conduct regular internal and external quality audits to assess product conformance and identify areas for improvement to ISO9001.
  • FMEA Analysis: Conduct thorough Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), including Design FMEA (DFMEA) and Process FMEA (PFMEA), to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and failures.
  • Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/DFA): Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure products are designed for optimal manufacturability and assembly.
  • Measuring Reports: Generate and analyse measuring reports, MSAs, ensuring alignment with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Document Review Reports: Conduct thorough reviews of all relevant documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and quality plans connected to the NPD process.
  • Process Jigs & Fixtures Ownership: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, and other production tooling.
  • Part & Assembly Quality Accountability: Ensure the quality of all parts and assemblies throughout the production process, from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Work Instructions: Develop and maintain clear and concise work instructions that align with product drawings and specifications.
  • Production & Assembly Line Process Qualification: Participate in the qualification of new production lines and assembly processes, ensuring they meet all performance and quality requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in FMEA, DFM/DFA, and other quality engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
  • Experience with ERP and/or PLM systems is a plus.
