Our client based in the Waterlooville area is looking to recruit a Production Assembler to join their team on a day shift.
The Production Operative role combines board level assembly along with box build. The successful candidate will possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and be an excellent problem solver and team player. With a methodical approach and eye for detail, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working unsupervised as well as part of a team. A flexible team player with a strong background in electronic assembly.
Main Responsibilities:
- PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
- Cable assembly, involving the use of crimp tools
- Electro mechanical assembly
- Working from customer BOM’s / drawings to ensure that manufacturing is completed to required standards.
- PCBA rework
Experience / Skills / Qualifications:
- IPC 610 experience/knowledge
- Good standard of PTH/SMT soldering working to minimum IPC610 class 2
- Excellent component recognition / knowledge
- Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information
- Ability to prioritize a busy workload
- Ability to excel under pressure
- Inspection experience not essential but would be an advantage
