Are you an experienced Procurement Executive? Our client, a thriving family-owned specialist manufacturer of PPE and safety equipment for core industry sectors: Rail, Aggregates and Civil Engineering, is looking for a Procurement Executive to join their team. The Procurement Executive will play a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of products whilst optimising costs across the supply chain.

The responsibilities of the Procurement Executive include but are not limited to the following:

  • Identifying and assessing potential new suppliers.
  • Obtaining prices for all supplies and negotiating the most favourable cost and delivery terms.
  • Stock management and control, including ensuring stock turn targets are met.
  • Maintaining the ERP system with correct supplier pricing, codes and details.
  • Sorting supplier issues and returns, as well as product quality control.

Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:

  • Experience within a similar role, using an ERP System.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office, Excel and SharePoint).
