Hambledon is a premium Hampshire wine estate, pioneers of English wine, located on the edge of the South Downs National Park. In 2023 it was purchased by British owned and multi-generational businesses, Symington Family Estates and Berry Bros. & Rudd.
Our ambition is to be a best-in-class hospitality-led destination in the English wine category, that feeds the soul and allows people to flourish and thrive in this beautiful part of the South Downs National Park.
The destination will offer multiple food and drink-led products, spaces for private hire for multiple occasions and a series of wine-led experiences befitting of our innovative profile in the market.
We are nearing completion of a multi-million-pound visitor centre which will be a pivotal part of our hospitality offering at Hambledon. In time we are also planning to develop a boutique accommodation offer, that will complete our guest experience.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for leading the restaurant, bar and private dining room areas, ensuring the very best guest experience, with operational efficiency, that meets Hambledons business plan.
This role is a being a part of our leadership team at Hambledon to embrace our pioneering spirit and position as a super-premium brand in the English sparkling wine category.
You will be an experienced, influential leader, with a strong knowledge of wine and food, working very closely with other leaders at Hambledon to ensure consumers utilising all areas of hospitality while visiting.
Main Duties:
Business objectives to deliver a product and experience that is constantly reviewed to be best in class
Report on the financial performance of the business action plans to support improvements and focus on optimizing profit, maximising margins and promotes exceptional experience(s) for guests and team
Lead Hambledons food and beverage commitment to sustainability, lead to B-Corp application, working with the sustainability project manager and peers to secure Hambledons certification.
Guide and implement policies, procedure and systems to improve Hambledons overall food and beverage operations and service
Ensure effective hands-on day to day management and problem solving for the food and beverage department
Being involved in the procurement drink suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring standards are met across the supply chain
Create an overall safe and inviting space for guests and staff by partnering with Health & Safety leaders and following regional compliance and abiding by legal standards
Nurture a team of talented superheroes, with a training programme to ensure retention and promotion from within.
Key Experience
