About the Higher Level Teaching Assistant Role:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting students with ASD to reach their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your key responsibilities as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant include:

  • Providing 1:1 and group interventions for learners with ASD

  • Supporting students at Key Stage 2 both in and out of the classroom

  • Implementing individualised learning plans alongside the class teacher and SENCO

  • Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour

  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction

  • Assisting with personal care tasks where necessary

  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals



What We're Looking for in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
