We are delighted to be working with an established provider of residential care services who are looking to strengthen their new business team with an experienced referrals coordinator or business development manager.

Overview:
As a Residential Care Referrals Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain relationships with Local Authorities (LAs) and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to generate referrals for our residential care facilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the occupancy and viability of our residential care homes by strategically sourcing and securing placements for individuals in need of care services. Your efforts will contribute to the overall success of our residential care operations and the well-being of the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards, and other relevant agencies responsible for referring individuals to residential care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for LAs and ICBs, providing information about our care services, capabilities, and availability.
  • Regularly engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs, preferences, and requirements for placement.

Referral Generation:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase referrals from Local Authorities and Integrated Care Boards, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads.
  • Actively identify opportunities to expand our network of referral partners and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Stay informed about local market trends, regulatory changes, and community needs that may impact referral opportunities.

Placement Coordination:

  • Collaborate with our admissions team and care managers to facilitate the placement process for referred individuals.
  • Ensure timely communication and coordination with referring agencies, individuals, and their families throughout the placement process.
  • Coordinate assessments, tours, and other activities to support the admission of individuals into our residential care facilities.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, and internal policies related to referrals and admissions.
  • Maintain accurate records of referral activities, including lead sources, communications, and outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation to LAs, ICBs, and other relevant authorities as needed.

Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor referral performance metrics, such as referral volume, conversion rates, and occupancy levels.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of referral strategies, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on referral program performance for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in referral management, business development, or related roles within the healthcare or social services sector, preferably in residential care.
  • Strong understanding of the residential care sector, including funding mechanisms, and referral processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant tools for lead management and analysis.
