Role Overview
Our client is seeking a full-time Accountant to join their team at their Watford office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a professional and dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute across various financial functions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing accounts and VAT submitting personal and corporate tax returns returns for sole traders, companies, and partnerships.
- Compiling and submitting personal and corporate tax returns.
- Providing client management accounting services (knowledge of Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks is advantageous but not essential).
- Accurately inputting and updating financial data.
- Processing journals and finalising accounts.
- Supervising accounts work completed by others, including outsourced providers.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (continuing studies is not mandatory), or
- AAT Level 4 certification, or
- Equivalent experience in accounting.
- Educated to BTEC or A-Level standard.
Skills & Attributes:
- Proven experience in an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with accounting software.
- A proactive approach to work, with flexibility and adaptability.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlines.
