A leading Chartered Accountants & Tax Advisers is recruiting for an Accounts Semi Senior to join the team at the firm’s Watford office. This is a full-time role, and salary will be depending upon experience and qualification stage.

The successful candidate will be offered:

  • Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week’s salary
  • Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme all staff are auto enrolled. (Employer: 5% - Employee: 3%) subject to eligibility

This is a growing, dynamic and innovative firm, developing new ideas and services to assist clients, hence the desire to build the team with an Accounts Semi Senior. It has a year-round programme of fundraising, volunteering opportunities and initiatives to minimise our environmental footprint.

Assisting the team, as Accounts Semi Senior your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of accounts and VAT returns for Sole Traders, Company and Partnerships
  • Preparing personal and corporation tax returns
  • Client management accounting
  • Accurate data entry input and updating
  • Processing Journals and finalising Accounts
  • Managing accounts work by others including outsource providers

Please do apply for this role if you have the following:

  • Previous experience gained within UK accountancy practice environment - ideally two years
  • AAT level 4 qualified, part qualified ACA or ACCA (continuing with studies is not required) or exceptionally experienced non-qualified
  • IT competent, experience of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks preferred
  • The ability to work on own initiative and be flexible
  • Able to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
