An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join on an interim basis. This role will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring smooth operations, accurate reporting, and strong financial controls during a critical period.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the finance team and manage core accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Management Accounting.
- Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow, providing key insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with FRS102 and UK GAAP, preparing statutory accounts and managing audits.
- Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and identify efficiencies.
- Act as a strategic partner to the CFO, contributing to business planning and decision-making.
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least five years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102, and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in audit, compliance, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
- Hands-on leader with the ability to motivate and develop a finance team.
