Robertson Bell are excited to partner with a community-based housing association, to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis. In this role you will be managing a variety of different responsibilities, including preparing the full cycle of management accounts and managing a vast network of budget holders.

In this Senior Management Accountant role, you will:

  • Take full responsibility in the management accounts cycle, making sure to prepare commentary in addition to this.
  • Assist and train one person that would report into you, making sure to not only impart your knowledge to them
  • Taking the lead for the budgeting and forecasting process for a group of subsidiaries.
  • Have responsibility for statutory accounting including liaising with auditors, managing VAT and overseeing the fixed asset register.
  • Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with budget holders.

Based in Hertfordshire, the successful candidate will enjoy a great working culture, in addition to a 2 day in the office working pattern, aiding any candidate in achieving that ideal work life balance. Reporting to a progressive and development based Head of Finance, this role is aimed at assisting the selected candidate in growing their own career.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in the management accounts.
  • High quality communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
  • The ability to prepare journals and accruals within an accountancy function.
  • The skills to work independently and as a part of a team.
