We are recruiting for a Trainee Accountant in Credit Control at a successful fashion company based in Watford.As a trainee accountant supporting credit control, you'll assist in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and potentially help with debt recovery, contributing to the company's financial health.Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Maintain customer account records, including invoices and payment terms.
  • Review credit limits and payment histories; assist with account setups and updates.
  • Process invoices, ensure timely delivery, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile payments with outstanding invoices, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Assist in debt collection and communicate with customers about overdue accounts.
  • Prepare reports on outstanding debts, ageing receivables, and analyse trends for improvements.
  • Support the credit control team with ad-hoc tasks and stay informed on industry regulations.
