What you'll do:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial order within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include processing invoices, administering BACS payments, verifying new sub-contractors, and maintaining records for audit purposes. You will also be tasked with resolving queries from both sub-contractors and internal teams, as well as ensuring all invoices are correctly uploaded onto the internal system. Your role will extend to matching invoices to site orders and costing invoices to contracts.
- Processing Sub Contract invoices
- Administration of BACS payments and BACS supplier payments
- Verification of all new Sub- Contractors in line with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) standards and managing monthly CIS returns
- Maintaining new Sub-Contractor records for audit purposes
- Dealing with Sub -Contractors queries over the phone and via e-mail
- Liaising with internal Teams to resolve queries
- Ensuring all invoices are uploaded onto the internal system
- Invoice matching to site orders and PODs
- Costing invoices to contracts
What you bring:
The ideal Accounts Assistant candidate will bring proven experience from a similar role within a busy organisation. You should have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and good communication abilities. Experience with COINS would be highly beneficial, as would proficiency in Excel. Your diligence, commitment, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently will be key to your success in this role.
