CAD Engineer / Draughtsman
Location: Watford
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (+ benefits)
Position: Permanent
Our client is a key player in providing innovative noise control and acoustic solutions, specializing in the energy sector. After achieving significant growth in the past year, our clients are looking for a CAD Designer to join their team to work on projects all throughout the UK.
The ideal candidate will lead the creation of innovative, high-quality engineered designs for a variety of noise control projects, working in both 2D and 3D. This role requires previous experience collaborating with civil, MEP design and construction teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing coordination tasks with clients including integrating models, performing quality checks, and detecting clashes using software tools.
- Creating detailed layout designs and technical drawings based on site surveys.
- Designing general layouts and producing precise outline CAD drawings.
- Working closely with engineers and project managers to gain a clear understanding of project requirements and specifications.
Required Qualifications & Exposure:
- Degree or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience using AutoCAD Inventor, Navisworks and ACC.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination, including familiarity with BS/ISO standards.
- Understanding of HVDC industry is desirable but not mandatory.
