AV Project Engineer - Watford & Surrounding Areas
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly technical Senior AV Engineer looking to take the next step in their career towards project management. This role offers a blend of installation, programming, project management, and team leadership, with a particular focus on overseeing small works projects.
The Role:
- Leading AV installations, programming, and commissioning of home automation systems.
- Managing small projects, drawings, and scheduling of works, while taking a leadership role on-site for larger projects.
- Acting as the central point of contact for clients and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensuring high standards of workmanship and attention to detail on all installations.
Key Requirements:
- Strong practical skills with a good understanding of construction techniques.
- Ability to interpret wiring designs and schematic drawings.
- Excellent fault-finding skills and client-facing experience.
- Hands-on experience with AV equipment, racks, speakers, lighting control systems, and networking.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following:
- Control4, Crestron, Crestron Home
- Video Matrix Systems (Blustream, AVPro Edge, Crestron DM)
- TCP/IP Networking (Araknis, Ubiquiti, Ruckus)
- Lighting Control (Lutron, KNX, Rako, Control4)
- CEDIA or AVIXA certification is an advantage.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to client sites.
The Offer:
- Salary: 37,000 - 45,000, dependent on experience.
