Operations Manager - Security and Stewarding

  • Annual Salary: £38,000 to £42,000

Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee security and stewarding services at major venues and events across London and the South East of England. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an outdoor environment and is flexible with weekend work, especially during the Spring and Summer.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Responsible for the planning, delivery, and review of all allocated events throughout the year at prestigious sporting and entertainment venues including Premier League football stadia and horse racing courses.
  • Ensure operations are conducted safely, according to client instructions and company standards.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and internal staff to ensure a safe environment.
  • Develop and nurture strong, effective, and professional relationships with clients and key operational contacts.
  • Manage a team of frontline zero-hours casual workers.
  • Provide line management with a focus on proactive mentoring, coaching, development, and team succession planning.
  • Support the recruitment & resourcing team in recruiting our frontline team to ensure appropriate staffing for contracts and events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree-level education.
  • Relevant experience in an operational management position with qualifications in Spectator Safety and a valid SIA Door Licence.
  • Knowledge and experience in the events or comparable industries with strong commercial awareness.
  • Proven leadership, management, and development skills.
  • Clear communication across field-based teams, departments, and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in providing multi-service delivery is desirable.
  • A full UK driving licence.
