4.5-Tonne Driver

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire

Hours: Monday - Friday: 6:30am - 4:30pm, alternate Saturdays 7:00am-12:30pm

As a 4.5-Tonne Driver, you’ll be a vital part of the daily operations in this faced paced Builders Merchant. You will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of building materials to customers and project sites across Watford and the surounding areas.

Requirements:

• Minimum Category C1 Entitlement license with a clean driving record.
• Current 35 Hours drivers CPC required.
• Previous experience in a 4.5-tonne or higher vehicle category preferred.
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain a 4.5-tonne delivery vehicle.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Operate the 4.5-tonne delivery vehicle responsibly, following traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Safely load and unload building materials, securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
• Be a key point of contact with customers during deliveries, addressing inquiries and concerns.
• Perform routine inspections and promptly report any issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery and mileage logs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
