Are you currently a Head Chef or Senior Sous chef that has worked in a 5* hotel or high-end restaurant, then this opportunity could be for you.

We are currently working with a 5* hotel based in Hertfordshire that is looking to recruit a Head Chef for their restaurant. The restaurant showcases the very best of British produce and the chefs work in partnership with local suppliers.

The restaurant caters for up to 100 covers and is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The role:

  • Lead, inspire and manage the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Oversee the creation of a dynamic and seasonal menu.
  • Maintain a high standard of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Manage all kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering and budgeting.
  • Train, develop and mentor current chefs.
  • Work with the front of house team to provide a seamless service.
  • Monitor food costs and waste to ensure profitability.
  • Stay up-to-date with current food trends.

You:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in ahigh end restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong leadership
  • A passion food and seasonal produce
  • Ability to create amazing dishes
  • Fantastic knowledge of food hygiene and food safety
  • A strong work ethic
  • Able to manage budgets, control food costs
  • A passion for staff training and development
