Theys are seeking an experienced and driven IT Service Manager who will be responsible for monitoring, improving, and upgrading all aspects of our IT infrastructure, ensuring robust security, efficient service delivery, and compliance across multiple operational areas.

Role Overview: As the IT Service Manager, you will oversee the companys IT provision, including network security, endpoint management, server maintenance, and disaster recovery. You will own and deliver various operational services, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and seamless coordination across departments such as Finance, HR, Marketing, Customer Service, and Logistics. You will lead initiatives to drive IT performance and support other critical business functions through data analysis, compliance management, and operational optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure Management:
    • Manage and monitor Windows clients (Windows 10) and Windows firewalls.
    • Oversee Endpoint Security solutions (e.g., SentinelOne) to ensure robust protection.
    • Administer Windows Servers (2016, 2019, 2022), Exchange Server 2016, and SQL Server.
    • Lead server hardening and optimisation, particularly for Hyper V virtualised environments.
    • Implement and manage SonicWall firewalls, network security, VLANs, switching, and routing.
    • Coordinate telecom services, including phone providers and ISPs.
    • Handle limited Linux server requirements.
    • Manage disaster recovery, archiving, and backup processes.
  • Operational Services Oversight:
    • Ensure GDPR compliance and manage data security and regulatory adherence.
    • Conduct data analysis (SQL querying, advanced Excel) for Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
    • Collaborate with other departments to deliver operational services, including Finance, HR, Marketing, Operational Cost Control, Internal Sales Administration, and Customer Service.
    • Monitor workflow and response times for internal sales admin and customer service teams.
    • Oversee facilities management and ensure Health & Safety (H&S) compliance.
    • Ensure that regulatory compliance and certification are current and up to date.
  • Logistics & Production Management:
    • Communicate customer-driven priorities to warehouse and production supervisors.
    • Ensure efficient, cost-effective logistics aligned with customer demands.
  • Legal & Compliance:
    • Assist in managing commercial contracts, confidentiality agreements, and other legal matters.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Excellent IT skills (Level 3+) across a wide range of technologies and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, server management, network security, and disaster recovery.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading IT teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL database querying and advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables).
  • Good commercial acumen with strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage and improve workflows in multiple operational areas.
  • Experience with record keeping, documentation, and network filing systems.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Legal knowledge related to commercial contracts and confidentiality agreements.
  • Experience in HR, procurement, or negotiation.
  • Previous experience working in an engineering environment.
