An experienced Business Development Manager and Marketing Executive with proven sales and marketing experience is needed to join the team at this leading provider of photographic backdrops and professional photography services based in Watford on a full-time basis.

The company is split into 4 divisions: A backdrop manufacturing brand, a marketing company for portrait studios, a photographic yearly trade show and a portrait studio B2B and B2C. Trading for 30 years with a great track record and reputation in the photographic industry.

This role reports to the CEO and requires a good command of the English language; knowledge of the photographic industry is advantageous but not essential.

This position has the benefit of an uncapped commission structure where a previous employee earned £5100 commission in one month!

About the Company

They manage and distribute industry-appropriate leads and data for photography studios and run a Professional Photographic Show. They cater to a diverse clientele, including businesses and consumers, providing high-quality products and exceptional services.

Their goal is to expand their reach and establish strong business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) relationships.

About the Role

They are looking for a proactive and strategic Business Development and Marketing Associate to join their team. This role is critical in driving new business opportunities, building strong B2B connections, and marketing their data supply services and photography studio.

The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO to develop and execute strategies that enhance their market presence and foster growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish new B2B connections for their photographic backdrop company
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers for their photographic data supply service
  • Create and explore B2B and B2C opportunities for their photography studio, expanding their customer base
  • Formulate and execute new third-party promotions with businesses to drive mutual growth and enhance brand visibility alongside producing new data sets to be sold to existing marketing clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of business development and marketing efforts
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and business development activities, making data-driven adjustments as needed
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for the CEO on business development and marketing activities

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and marketing, preferably within the photography or creative industry
  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing principles and strategies

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and marketing tools

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with photographic products and services
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, including social media, email marketing, and SEO
  • Understanding of data supply services and related marketing strategies
  • Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable strategies
