This is an exciting opportunity for a professional dedicated to ensuring fire safety and compliance across a range of buildings in Central and Greater London. You will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections of fire doors, identifying potential issues, and ensuring that all installations meet current safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct annual fire door inspections across a variety of buildings in Central and Greater London.
  • Identify, document, and report defects, wear and tear, and non-compliance issues using specialised inspection software.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, including detailed findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
  • Stay informed about the latest fire safety regulations and ensure all inspections comply with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, building owners, managers, and other stakeholders to communicate fire safety issues and solutions.
  • Participate in fire safety audits and reviews as needed.
  • Attend regular training courses to stay updated on fire door inspection techniques and industry developments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 4-5 years of experience as a Fire Door Inspector or in a related role within the fire safety sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fire door components, installation practices, and maintenance standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen ability to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and liaising with stakeholders.
