Welfare Assistant - Secondary School, Watford

We are recruiting for a dedicated Welfare Assistant to join a large, well-regarded secondary school in Watford. Role: Welfare Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support student welfare needs, providing first aid and responding to student illnesses or accidents as they arise
  • Offer pastoral care and emotional support to students, promoting positive well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and interventions, ensuring compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and staff to communicate welfare concerns and updates

Requirements:

  • First Aid training
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience in a welfare, healthcare, or support role is beneficial
  • Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting student well-being
  • Enhanced DBS Check
