As a Finishing Technician, you will be part of a team that works on luxury components for first-class airline suites, prestige automotive brands, and super yachts. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in metal finishing through a bespoke training plan tailored to your needs.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work under the guidance of Senior Metal Finishing Technicians and report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
- Transform raw machined parts into products with a beautiful mirror finish using various machines, polishing mops, and compounds.
- Ensure the final product meets the high standards the company is known for after various plating processes.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and maintain the highest standards of quality.
- Participate in risk assessments and adhere to health and safety and environmental procedures, including waste management and incident response.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal polishing, preferably using polishing motors, orbital sanders, or diamond cutters.
- Teachable with a keen willingness to learn and master the craft of metal polishing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce outstanding quality products.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly, personable, punctual, and receptive to instruction.
- Competitive salary with a probation period of 12 worked weeks.
- Working hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am to 1:00pm.
- Overtime available at Time & Half, subject to demand and after the successful completion of the probationary period.
- 28 days of holiday per annum, including Bank Holidays.
