CNC Programmer - Sliding Head / Watford / £40,000 - £50,000Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a leading high-precision component manufacturing firm? We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Setter and Programmer to take on the role of a Sliding Head Machinist Location / Hours:Based in Watford, you'll work Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Overtime or additional hours may be required depending on the workload. CNC Programmer Duties:

  • Setting and programming Citizen Sliding Head Lathes (using Mitsubishi controls) and Star Sliding Head Lathes (using Fanuc controls) for the manufacture of prototype and small to medium batch components.
  • Working with a range of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and brass.
  • Producing components to aerospace standards, ensuring high precision and quality.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately.

The Ideal CNC Setter:

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC Lathes to produce small to medium batch high-precision components.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Engineering apprenticeship is advantageous, but relevant experience is the most important factor.

Additional pay and benefits:
