Job Details

JobMatcha are recruiting for a hard-working regional Health and Safety Advisor to cover projects we are involved in but you will be based in head office Watford, you will be part of a team and reporting to the HSE Manager
Key Information:

  • 9 Hours per day (with 1 hour unpaid lunch included)
  • Location Watford
  • Ongoing work for a Health and Safety Advisor
  • Start date - ASAP

Responsibilities:

The HSE Adviser ensures the effective management of Health & Safety across the Region, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Compliance with HS&E legislation and our health, safety and environmental requirements. Interface, communicate, liaise and maintain effective relationships with the Site teams. Produce reports, as directed by the HSE Manager and identify remedial action, monitor effective implementation. Undertake Investigations, as directed by the HSE Manager, produce reports and identify root cause and learning. Monitor HSE standards across the Contract, identify and implement improvement activities. Review risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work. Deliver training, as directed by the HSE Manager. Manage own work allocation to ensure that the Business Unit/Region allocated receives regular site visits/inspections based upon risk. Undertake Subcontractor/Supply Chain Audits as required. Provide a reactive response to incidents, as directed by the HSE Manager coordinate incident response from HSE perspective. By example, provide visible leadership on HSE, actively encouraging and developing managers within the Region to do the same

Competencies and Requirements for the position:

  • Must have Right to Work in the UK
  • Must have a valid CSCS Card
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Experience asa Health and Safety Advisor
