This 10/13m turnover, 13-year-old traditional refurbishment and fit-out contractor (family business), has an excellent reputation and traditionally carries out commercial warehouse refurbishment projects that come from an established and long-standing client base.
The company is looking for an up-and-coming Project Manager or Assistant Contracts Manager that is looking to grow into a contracts manager. It's a great opportunity for someone to shadow an experienced contracts manager and learn the ropes so that they can develop into a contracts manager in the future.
Background / Experience / Role:
Would suit someone who has perhaps come from the tools and into a supervision / management role, or even an assistant QS looking to transfer towards the contracts manager route (good commercial acumen)
Needs to have site experience (not a complete novice)
Willing to understudy people.
Would need to be mobile - driving license
Located in and around the M25

Typical projects:
The majority of the projects are located in and around the M25, often repeat business with former clients. Current locations are Slough, Reading, Milton Keynes, Guildford, Crawley and Dartford - to name but a few
Projects are typically commercial warehouse projects - 8-10-week refurb comprising of roof work, painting, new lighting, new windows, cladding, decorations, new warehouse floor etc.
Job values from 50,000 - 500,000 (typically 200,000)
The projects themselves are never that complicated so the right person will pick it up fairly quickly.
