We're seeking a dynamic Contract Manager to oversee the full spectrum of engineering, maintenance, and operational service delivery within a critical environment. If you thrive in high-stakes settings and know how to drive both people and performance, this role is for you.

The Role
As the Contract Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a key data centre facility. You'll take strategic and operational control of the contract, ensuring world-class standards in building performance, staff management, project delivery, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day engineering operations, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Lead, support, and develop a high-performing technical team while ensuring adherence to health & safety standards.
  • Own the contract's financial performance, including planning, profitability, cost control, and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, serving as the key point of contact for operational issues, service delivery, and performance reporting.
  • Deliver robust change management, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal risk in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of SOPs, EOPs, and contingency procedures, constantly seeking improvements and efficiencies.
  • Support the development and deployment of staff training and competency plans, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
  • Drive compliance across all statutory and contractual obligations through effective controls and reporting.


About You
You're a confident leader with a proven background in critical environments, particularly data centres. You're calm under pressure, highly organised, and thrive in a role that balances strategic leadership with operational execution.

Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience managing Data Centre or mission-critical contracts
Strong electrical or mechanical background - City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or higher
HV Authorised Person status (preferred)
Strong financial and contract management skills
NEBOSH / IOSH qualifications (desirable)
Effective communicator with a natural ability to lead and motivate teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard operational systems
Committed to continuous improvement and professional development
