Our mission is to accelerate learning for individuals, teams and the Workwell Group. You will have the freedom to create new approaches to development, the skills to influence stakeholders and the drive and commitment to implement learning experiences for lasting impact.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and delivery on talent, learning and leadership development across Workwell to ensure that we retain our talent and engage our people, ensuring the Workwell group has the skills for current and future objectives.
The role outputs will be to ensure we assist employees with personal learning and career development as well as develop and lead training activities. Create and implement tools and support resources around talent management, performance management, professional and career development
We are a group of businesses across multiple UK locations. We also have presence In the USA and Europe. Our strategy is to support contingent workers and recruitment businesses to achieve their goals through our service offers.
The role would be based at our Head Office in Watford, with hybrid options of working 2 days at home and 3 days in the office. Reporting Into the Chief People and Culture Officer. There will be some travel across the UK to our 7 different locations, but this Is minimal.
We are a maturing business and change and evolving Is part of our DNA. The People and Culture Function is small but offers a huge amount to those that work here.
Accountabilities
- Ensuring the company’s vision, values and policies thread through all development initiatives.
- Drive a talent and development strategy and building on what is already in place.
- Design a management development programme that can be delivered remotely and in person and support with the development of our people managers
- Design and deliver internal training programs in an engaging and impactful manner across different levels of employees, from entry level to senior managers.
- Monitoring and reporting on training completion and engagement.
- Successfully managing third party training and development relationships.
- Collect, analyse and report on learning system data (CIPHR).
- Keeping up to date with L&D industry trends and apply these learnings in L&D activities.
- Create and deliver a cohesive talent, succession planning & L&D strategy across Workwell that aligns to the business objectives and provides career growth opportunities for employees
- Support the CPO with succession plans (using the 9Box grid) for all functions and any retention risk areas
- Creating e-learning journeys and enhance engagement with the LMS (known as the Hive Development Hub).
- Create and implement tools (using the HR System, Hive) and support resources around talent management, performance management, professional and career development
- Provide guidance and act as an 'expert’ across talent management and development at all levels
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess training needs and create bespoke learning solutions.
- Implement both traditional and innovative e-learning strategies to ensure engaging and accessible training for all employees.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and performance metrics.
- Take forward a robust and improved Induction programme across the business.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in L&D to ensure the business remains competitive.
What we’re looking for:
- 'Insight' qualified practitioner would be highly desirable
- Proven experience in Learning & Development, including the design and delivery of training programs.
- Strong background in leadership development and experience with LMS and e-learning tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, taking ownership of L&D initiatives from strategy to implementation.
- Flexibility with hybrid working, with the ability to travel occasionally as required.
- A creative and forward-thinking approach to problem-solving.

Hours and Benefits:
Full time, you’ll work 37.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The business operates opening hours from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday
