Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a new opportunity to showcase your skills and join a dynamic team? We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our client's finance department in Watford.

Our client, a well-established organisation, is in need of a talented individual to ensure the smooth flow of credit control processes. As a Credit Controller, you will work closely with our client's Finance Director and collaborate with their team to manage credit control operations efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Chase overdue invoices multiple times a week, using various communication methods like email, phone calls, and teams meetings ????
  • Coordinate with different departments within our client's organisation and customers to assist with the goods receipt process ??
  • Post and allocate customer receipts to Sage Intacct across multiple currencies ????
  • Upload customer invoices into Sage Intacct for accurate record-keeping ??
  • Handle customer credit application forms and address queries, requests for statements, and reconciliations ????
  • Raise and allocate customer credit notes, ensuring accurate records ??
  • Amend customer credit limits as necessary to optimise credit control ??
  • Perform debtors reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records ??
  • Provide input in weekly debtors meetings with key management to track and manage outstanding debts ??
  • Maintain daily funds received and availability spreadsheets for financial visibility ???
  • Update exchange rates in the internal sales programme for accurate currency conversions ??
  • Assist the purchase ledger department with holiday cover and workload when required to ensure smooth operations ??
  • Facilitate the management and reconciliation of invoice discounting ledgers for financial accuracy ????
  • Carry out general admin tasks such as scanning and filing documents for efficient record-keeping ????

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in credit control or an accounts/finance based role�?
  • Strong communication skills to effectively chase overdue invoices and address customer queries ?????
  • Proficiency in using financial software and systems, such as Sage Intacct, is advantageous ????
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills for accurate record-keeping ???
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and coordinate with various departments ????
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations ????
