Key Responsibilities:
Credit Control:
- Oversee the timely collection of premiums, fostering strong relationships with brokers and clients.
- Identify, report, and manage doubtful or bad debts at the earliest opportunity.
- Collect and maximize the recovery of client debt within contractual parameters and company policy.
- Produce reports including aged debt, statement of accounts, and ad hoc reports for brokers, clients, and internal teams.
- Ensure chases are processed according to internal policy and all requests are answered within SLA.
- Maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Host monthly credit control committee to update senior management.
Finance Operations:
- Support finance operations team in allocating funds.
- Reconcile client accounts in accounting tools.
- Administer bank online portal and maintain payment rota for the team.
Knowledge & Experience
- At least 7 years’ experience in credit control.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with legal implications of insolvency in England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
- Understanding of legal processes and the impact of different courses of action.
- Experience in the insurance sector (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.
