My client is a leading commercial solar company that specializes in everything from design to installation and maintenance of solar systems across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career with an industry leader, providing cutting-edge solar solutions and services.
They are currently recruiting for a Trainee Service Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 18th Edition qualifications but can also be working towards it, with a keen interest in solar technology and a passion for developing their skills in the field.
As a Trainee Service Engineer, you will assist with roof inspections, perform minor repairs, and support in the servicing and maintenance of solar systems. You will receive both internal and external training, gaining hands-on experience with system diagnostics, Solar PV inverter replacements, and the installation of monitoring systems. You will travel to various sites across London buddying up with another engineer with initial training provided in Hemel Hempstead.
The Role
* Assist with roof inspections and perform minor mechanical and electrical repairs
* Support in servicing and maintaining solar systems
* Learn to perform system diagnostics under supervision
* Assist with Solar PV installation tasks
* Help replace Solar PV inverters
* Support with the installation of monitoring systems and firmware upgrades
The Candidate:
* Training towards 18th edition
* Keen to learn and develop in the solar industry
* Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
* Comfortable with travel and working independently
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated to grow within the industry
* Able to work well within a team and contribute to company goals
