Our client is seeking candidates for an Operations Management role to oversee the Traffic and Event Parking Services for a portfolio of high-profile venues. This role involves planning, managing, and delivering services while ensuring operational excellence within budget and aligning with our client’s strategic objectives. The role covers iconic venues and events across the UK, requiring extensive travel, particularly during the summer.

This isn’t your regular 9 to 5 job, it’s fast paced, with an element of unsociable/long working hours, and travel; but ultimately rewarding! If you have a passion for sport and events, are a New Graduate or someone from similar management/event management background, please get in touch

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Maximise service levels, ensuring a proactive and positive approach to all client interactions and service deliveries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key operational contacts to meet and exceed their expectations.
  • Support the Deputy Head of Operations in achieving Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
  • Responsible for the operational planning, delivery, and review of all allocated events, ensuring efficient forward planning and adherence to operations checklists.
  • Attend pre-planning and post-event debrief meetings, management meetings, and workshops.
  • Assist in recruiting and resourcing the frontline team, minimizing the need for subcontracted services.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in accordance with both client and company policies.
  • Analyse historical data to develop new operational strategies for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide efficient resolution services for customers, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring swift responses and actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all event planning and operational services.
  • Assist with the production of operational budgets and manage the performance of all allocated budgets.
  • Provide line management, mentoring, and development for all direct reports, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and company objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ideally, proven experience in an operational management position within traffic management, event support services, or a related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Highly customer service-focused and a strong team player.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of traffic management regulations.

Skills/Qualifications/Licences:

  • Recognised Business Management qualification or working towards one.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Desirable but not essential: CSAS Accreditation, Chapter 8 Accreditation, IOSH/NEBOSH, Valid SIA Licence.
